Congregation Havurah Shalom serves the Sun City Texas community and surrounding areas. Most of our approximately 300 members are active adults living in or near the community, which is located in Georgetown, Texas. Though unaffiliated, our ritual practices are closely aligned with those of the modern Reform Jewish Movement.

Services are held two times monthly throughout the year. We also hold services on the High Holy Days. Our worship services are led mainly by lay members of Havurah Shalom with an occasional visiting rabbi. Services are followed by an Oneg Shabbat hosted by alternating members of CHS. There are four major components to our congregation: 

• Religious: Provides opportunities to worship and celebrate together at services and religious events.
• Education: Offers educational programs to increase understanding of Jewish culture and current events. 
• Social: Provides enjoyable and entertaining events and activities. 
• Tikkun Olam (making the world a better place): Supports the Greater Georgetown, Texas area with community outreach.

Congregation Havurah Shalom is dedicated to serving the spiritual, educational, cultural, civic and social needs of its members in an egalitarian environment framed by Jewish tradition and in an atmosphere of joy and mutual caring.
